Thieveley Pike Fell Race, 29 Sep

The local popular Thieveley Pike Fell race took place on Saturday over in Cliviger. Starting on the field next to the Ram Inn, the 4.3 mile route follows the Mary Towneley Loop towards Scout Farm and then climbs towards the summit of Thieveley Pike and then downhill back to the field, punching 1310 ft of climbing along the way. 11 Toddies were amongst the 165 starters taking part and Andrew Worster was the first Toddy home finishing in 2nd place overall. Andrew Bibby won his age catogory as well as Jane leonard, who was also the 1st female Toddy back. Full results……

• 149th – Mandy Goth -58.48
Also, the Juniors section took part in the Junior Races with Lennie Halstead finishing 2nd in the Under 11’s race and Joseph Grunnick finishing 14th. Finn Tweed competed in the Under 9’s race and finished in 6th place.
