Race 7 in the West Yorkshire Winter League took the cross-country runners to Storthes Hall Woods for the Stadium Runners hosted event. The wet wintry weather made for classic English cross-country conditions with one runner describing it as ‘Glastonbury level of mud’.
The course is 5 miles long and takes the runners through the hospital grounds, Storthes Hall Woods and Thunder Bridge Meadow. There are some technical sections along with plenty of hilly bits to test everyone’s mettle.
There were 6 Todmorden Harriers taking part with Andrew Worster taking the overall victory in his usual style. Other notable performances were Dom Leckie finishing 14th overall and Zoe Dijkman first Todmorden lady, 9th in her category.
