Remembrance Day 10k

Dave O’Neill brought his knackered knees to Lytham to complete another Grand Prix. Dave’s commitment to our Championship is admirable, and even more so when you consider his knee issues.

Four of last week’s Lancaster Half Marathoners made the trip to spitfire and windmill country. Ben Blosse being the first Toddie home in 37.23 for a top 20 finish. Emma Kerwin was first Tod lady home in 42.47 with a top 10 finish in the ladies race. Kerry Edwards took her “trashed” legs round the 6.2 miles in 45.28 to complete her Road Championship qualification. Also completing their Road Championship qualification was Paul Brannigan, 2nd V60, in all the fours 44.44.

On fresher legs were Lisa Peatfield in 51.35 finishing 67th lady in a ladies field of 715, Dan Taylor in 40.21 and Tom Saunders in a new PB of 40.57. Completing the Tod contingent of runners was Richard Butterwick who looked to be carrying an injury (Editor’s note: he injured his achilles during the race) as he slowed significantly in the latter part of the race finishing 151st in 45.52.
