The annual Red Hot Toddy hosted by Todmorden Harriers took place on Sunday 13th March. The race starts in Centre Vale Park, the hilly course climbs to Sourhall, before going down Bacup Road then back through Todmorden town centre to finish at the park. There were 184 participants and 23 of those were representing the home club. The race turned out to be very successful for Todmorden Harriers with Ben Blosse getting a podium place by finishing 3rd overall, Jannine McGregor 1st female, Robin Tuddenham 1st V50. The club also managed to scoop both the male and female team prizes.
The main success of the race was that it saw several runners taking part in their first race. Todmorden Harriers have a Monday evening running group which was set up to get new and old runners into the sport. It was great to see members of the Monday group taking part in the challenging event.
