Meridian Ultra Road Race 50/100k, 21 May 2017
On Sunday, the national Ultra Championships took place over in Patrington near Hull with the sun beating down on the field of runners. Paul Alexander from Todmorden Harriers took on the 100km distance which featured 4 relentlessly flat out and backs of 25km each. The race was won by Lee Grantham of the England team in an incredible 6h 42m, whilst the first woman Sue Harrison finished in an equally impressive 8h 1m. Paul put in a strong display to complete the course in a time of 10h 21m for a respectable 33rd place.
