Heptonstall Fell Race, 19 March 2017

247 runners faced the rain, wind and bogs for the ever popular Heptonstall fell race. At just over 15 miles with over 3000ft of climbing, it is a popular event many runners love to do each year.
The route takes the runners over a mixture of steep-sided wooded valleys, upland pasture and pathless moorland.
Jack Wood from Ilkley was the first male runner in 1:57:41; and Jo Buckley from CVFR the first female in 2:29:06
Andrew Worster was the 1st Toddy back in 32nd place with a time of 2:21:15 and Rebecca Patrick as 1st Toddy Lady in 121st place in 2:47:50. Full Toddy results are:
