The latest round of the Todmorden Harriers Grand Prix took runners to Nelson in Lancashire for Gerry McCabe’s Legendary Hendon Brook Race. The race is renowned as one of the toughest half marathon road races in the UK. It’s a lovely scenic route but that does little to distract entrants from the challengingly steep ascents and descents that entails. There were four Todmorden Harriers who travelled over the border to take part. Dom Leckie was first Toddie over the line finishing 20th overall and 9th in the men’s senior category. Both Duncan Cannon and Pete Rolls had good runs finishing 5th and 9th respectively in the men’s V40 category. Dan Taylor took a ‘beasting’ from the arduous event finishing 122nd overall.
