Wadsworth Half Trog fell race, 18 Nov
Report by Paul Alexander
Five Todmorden Harriers took on the Half Trog on Sunday in glorious sunny Autumnal conditions. A local classic that sets off from the Hare & Hounds pub in Old Town and takes in all the best terrain of the full Trog, without the full distance. With plenty of varied tough running and a fair bit of mud to contend with over the 9.7 mile course, Dom Leckie led the Todmorden quintet home in tenth place, followed closely by Ben Holmes in fifteenth place. Mark Whittaker put in a strong performance and Lucy Hobbs was rewarded with first Vet 40 woman for her efforts. Josh Fenton-Glynn (pictured) completed his first ever fell race and said he will definitely be back for more!
Calder Valley legend Carl Grey was first back and set a new course record of 1:09.29. Nichola Jackson, Ribble Valley, was first woman back in 1:19.54
Dom Leckie 1:28.23
Ben Holmes 1:29.57
Mark Whittaker 1:39.38
Lucy Hobbs 1:44.02
Josh Fenton-Glynn 1:47.02
