Tour of Pendle fell race, 17 Nov

Todmorden Harriers fell and grand prix championships drew to a close with a beast of a final race in the form of the Tour of Pendle on Saturday 17th November. This tough South West Pennines event features over 4800ft of elevation over the 16.8 mile distance.
The stand out performance for the Harriers was Graeme Brown who finished first V40 in a time of 2:35.41 for 16th overall. Nick Barber was the next to finish in 2:44.32 for 30th place.
Paul Hobbs sneaked into the top 50 and comfortably under the 3 hour mark with a time of 2:51.43 whilst Duncan Cannon also finished just under 3 hours in 2:59.29 for 85th spot.
The race was won by in form Chris Holdsworth of Ribble Valley who finished in a speedy 2:15.08 finishing almost 2 minutes ahead of 2nd place. Mel Price of Mercia FR was 1st lady in 2:55.30.
This race also marks the end of the Todmorden Harriers Grand Prix season. The presentation evening on 1st December will announce the winners of the various disciplines and will be subsequently published.
