Wesham 10k, 25 Nov

The Todmorden Harriers 2017 Grand Prix concluded on Saturday with the final road race at the Wesham 10k, near Preston. 6 runners joined in with 420 others to take on the fast, slightly undulating course. Richard Butterwick was the first Toddy to finish in 19th place with a new personnel best time for a 10k in 37.01. Stuart Wolstenholme also got a new PB with a time of 44.12 and Mel Blackhurst took the FV50 honours with a time of 44.46. Myra Wells, ran the exact time she did back in 2018 with a time of 1.01.50. The overall race winner was Rob Danson of Wesham Road Runners in 31.18, and the fastest woman was Carla Davies of Salford Harriers in 37.04 Full Tod results…….

So the final race results means that the Grand Prix results are now done. Although there are different catogories within the Grand Prix such as fell, trail, road and ultras, the overall winners for 2018 were Andrew Worster and Mel Blackhurst. Well done to all the others who also qualified. All trophies will be presented at the Christmas Party on December 16th.
