Lingmell Dash is on the calendar this year both for British and for English Fell Running Championships. However the race is run from Wasdale Head so a long and rather difficult drive. Runners climb up 2500ft to the top of Lingmell Fell, just below Scafell, and then back down the same route to the finish. It was an ideal day for running, with some weak sunshine and not too much wind. Just two Harriers made the trip for the men’s race, Ben Crowther, completing in 54 mins and David Leslie, V60 finishing in a creditable 77 mins.
