Saturday saw 15 harriers take part in the Coniston Fell Race, which includes 1000m+ relentless climbing and a sharp descent from the iconic old man of coniston. Dwane Dixon was in fine form, bringing it home for Tod in 90th place (1:35:12). On fire Annie Roberts was hot on his heels in 100th place (1:36:09) and 5th Lady overall. Plenty of Toddies battled hard with a number close contests up and down the field and Tristan Langlois and Rebecca Senior put in impressive debut lakeland performances, despite Tristan’s shoe completely splitting during a tricky descent off the summit. A fantastic weekend had by all, with beers and music around the campfire to rest those tired legs.
