Plus Chevin, Pendle & Five Trigs
Sunday 2nd April was the 2nd trail race and another large Todmorden Harriers turn out in the 2023 Grand Prix.
Performance of the day was by Janine McGregor-Stead, 2nd placed lady and 2nd Toddy to finish. Janine was leading the ladies for most of the race but got pipped by just 11 seconds at the end.
Twenty-five Toddies took part with Robin Tuddenham first over the line in 18th overall and first M50, 2nd placed Janine in 27th (plus first F35) and not far behind in 3rd, Pete Rolls, 29th.
There were plenty other age category podium places too: Mark Tempest 3rd M50, Mark Anderton 1st M60, Kathleen Brierley 3rd F60, Katie Samuelson & Lisa Kempster 2nd and 3rd F45 and Sheila Shackleton 2nd F65.
Everyone seemed to enjoy the perfect spring conditions, varied trail route and were surprised by the unexpected up hill from 5km to 7km.
