Black Combe Fell Race, 11 March 2017
Race Report by Paul Alexander
Just two Toddies took part in the Black Combe fell race in Cumbria. The mist came down on the 168 runners taking on this 13km course with a brutal 1000m of elevation gain making for an interesting navigational test. First home was Carl Bell of Keswick AC in 1.12.41. First female was Anna Lupton of Black Combe Runners in 1.25.51 for 16th place. James Riley from Todmorden finished in 1.41.41 for 57th place whilst Nick Barber faced some navigational mishaps resulting in a 1.47.38 finish time for 87th place.
