Ben Nevis Fell Race, 1 Sept

Further afield, up in Scotland, the British Championship resumed with the Ben Nevis Fell Race. Races don’t come much harder than this race! Straight up and down Britain’s highest peak. A total of 4419ft of ascent within 9 miles attracts the top runners in the country. 488 runners took part this year in kind weather and 9 Toddies took on the challenge. Andrew Worster continues to impress in the English and British Championship finishing a very respectable 43rd place in a time of 1.45.29. Kate Mansell was the first Toddy lady with a time of 2.49.46.
