Heptonstall Fell Race, Sun 25 March

Sunday saw the re-arranged Heptonstall Fell Race which was rescheduled from last Sunday due to the weather. This time, the weather Gods were feeling in a better mood and gave everyone a well deserved spring day. 25k of running over the wild moors and steep wooded valleys around Heptonstall giving a total climb of over 966mtrs saw 109 runners take on this tough, moorland race. Annie Roberts ran strongly, taking the 1st ladies prize finishing in 27th place overall in a time of 2.31.23. Duncan Cannon was first male Toddy back in 24th place with a time of 2.27.26.
