While fellow Todmorden Harriers chose to pummel tarmac at The London Marathon, a number of Toddies stayed closer to home and along with 670 other runners took on the legendary 26 mile fell race The Three Peaks. This famous race traverses the famous Yorkshire Dales mountains of Pen-y-ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside and is one of the oldest and best organised fell races in Britain. Todmorden’s Annie Roberts put in a superb debut performance finishing second women in 3 hours 41 minutes and first U25 woman. Other strong performances were from Andy Worster, who finished in 24th position in 3.19 and Philip Montgomery who finished in 4 hrs 5 minutes (180th overall) and 11th Male U25. The race was won by Brennan Townshend from Keswick AC in a blistering 2 hrs 50 mins and the legendary Victoria Wilkinson from Bingley AC (5 times winner) in 3 hours 20 mins
