| Welcome
to the Toddies Forum
If you know what you're doing go straight to the forum
www.todharriers.co.uk/forum.
You will be prompted for a username and password - this is to defeat
spambots who automatically try to create accounts and leave smutty personal
profiles. You will still have to log in in the usual way after that.
The entry-level username is toddies
and the password is noonstone.
Otherwise, read on...
New users! Please read
this FAQ before visiting
the Toddies Forum...
Who can register?
Any current member of Todmorden Harriers can register to use the club
forum.
How do I register?
Go to the Forum (click
here - opens in a new window). You will be prompted for a username
and password - this is to defeat spambots who automatically try to create
accounts and leave smutty personal profiles. The
entry-level username is toddies and the password is
noonstone. You then have to register by choosing
a username and password. These will be emailed to you if you have entered
a correct email address. Please make your username obvious - that means
people will know who is posting. This is a private forum with only club
members participating, so why hide behind an obscure alias?

How do you know I'm a member?
Once registered, it's up to you to contact me (Keith Parkinson - website
Admin) and convince me that you are who you are - I have a list of members
and email addresses and most people know me anyhow. You will need to
tell me which username you have chosen. Call me on 01706 816323 or email
website @ todharriers dot co dot uk. I will then activate your account
and you will receive an automatic email to confirm that you have been
added to the "Toddies" group. You will then be able to view,
post and reply to messages.
Is it private?
Absolutely! Only registered, activated members of Todmorden Harriers
can view the messages. If you leave the club your account will be de-activated.
What's the easiest way of logging on to the
forum?
It can be a pain to have to input your username and password every time
you visit the forum - especially as the system has an annoying habit
of making you do it twice. The smoothest way is to tick the box "log
me in automatically each time I visit" - this works if you *don't*
log out at the end of each session. You can also get your browser to
remember the password (if that is enabled in your browser).
Isn't this all a bit complicated?
Not really! Try it - it really is quite straight forward. The software
is phpBB which is the most widely used website forum application. If
you have used a forum before you shouldn't have any bother with this
one. If you're having serious bother then contact me and I will help
you.
Best wishes,
